All about metamorphic rocks

Hi guys welcome back to my blog.

For the last few weeks we have been learning about rocks and this week on Tuesday we got to make a metamorphic rock. But not the whole entire class got to make one because Mea, Ben, Konner, Adrian, Christina and I we all had to go to yoga. The rest of the class got to make a metamorphic rock on Tuesday. The next day on Wednesday in the afternoon all the yoga people got to make a metamorphic rock.


What we used to make for the metamorphic rocks was white chocolate block, Dark chocolate block, White chocolate buttons, dark chocolate buttons and some marshmallows. We then got a spoon, bowl and two cheese graters and then we started to grate the chocolate in a bowl. Then we got some tinfoil and made a cave for the white and dark chocolate and then closed the tinfoil and kept on squeezing it and then we got the rest of the white and dark chocolate in the bowl, and put some marshmallows in it and then we mixed it and put it in the microwave for 20 seconds. After the 20 seconds we took it out and mixed it with the spoon and then put it in for another 20 seconds and then mixed it again and put it back in for another 20 seconds. Then we took it out mixed it and put some tinfoil on the table and put the metamorphic rock on the tinfoil.

All About Rocks

 Tolofa  readers, welcome back to another blog post of mine.

We learnt about different rocks like minerals and fossils. We made sedimentary rock by using plaster of paris, water and sand. We also used some food colouring.

On Monday we all got our Sedimentary rock and sat on the mat and then out teacher Miss D told us to find a buddy and mine is Harmony. after we found our buddy one of us had to get either our Chromebook or an iPad and Harmony got her Chromebook. We then got our Sedimentary rock and went out side on the court and started the video. It took quite a while for us to get the video right and also so that the video made sense.

Then I took mine out of the box and counted backwards from three to one and then drooped it and after it fell on the ground not all of it was broken so i piked some of the none broken bites and piece's and dropped them on the ground again. It took a while for it to break and after that, it was time for Harmony's turn but before she did her video I got my box and piked up some of the bits that I wanted to keep.

We broke our sedimentary rock so we could see all the different layers.

The Holidays

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog.




In the holidays on the first week I went to Hanmer Springs with my dad, Tehya and one of my dad's friends Danie. before we went to Hanmer springs we had to go to Danie's house and then we could go. On the way we stooped by the petrol station and got something to drink so that we wouldn't keep on asking if we could have something that we can eat or drink.

What I wanted to get was a hot chocolate without any marshmallows Tehya also wanted to get a hot chocolate but with marshmallows and my dad wanted to have a cofe and Danie wanted to have a latea. 


When we were driving to Hanmer Springs we listened to blue tooth on the radio.

It was so fun there and it was also cold and I wish we never left.

All About Harold

Hello everyone.

Welcome back to another blog post of mine.


So last week on Monday and Wednesday my whole entier school visited Harold and Siobhan. But not all at once because it would be all squishy and hot and then we would all sweat. So one class at a time went to visit Harold ans Siobhan.
