White blood cells are also called leukocytes.White blood cells are cell of the immune system that are involved in protecting the body against both infections.White blood cells get rid of all the germs.

Platelets are a tiny blood cell that helps your body from clots to stop bleeding. If one of your blood vessels gets damaged it sends out signals that are picked up by platelets. The platelets the rush to the site of damaged and from the a plug or clot to repair the damage.

  1. Hi Alla
This post is very informative. I really like the way you have set it out in paragraphs, talking about each of the types of blood cells. It makes it easy to read. You might want to put a space after a full-stop so our eyes can see where the new sentence begins.
I have often donated blood and have thought about plasma donation, but I don't think I could sit for about three hours to do it!
Just wondering, if blood is red, when do we see the yellow plasma?
