Guess what time it is. It is time for the summer learning journey to start.
For the summer learning journey we had to imagine that we have been invited to an adventure on a canoe.
We have to find ten pieces of food that wont need a refrigerator or a freezer.
I have come up with...
1. Fruit salad) I would bring a fruit salad because it is healthy and I would also bring it along with me because I can choose any fruit that is my favourite.
2. Nuts) I also want to bring some nuts with me because of the sugary and salty taste will give me more energy.
3. Chicken) If I could I would bring a chicken with me so that when we want some fresh eggs then the chicken would lay an egg for us if it was ready to.
4. Dried apples) When apples are dried then there would be a sugary taste.
5. Salt and peeper) Because if you go fishing you could add a little more taste to it like a salty taste.
6. 6 bottles of clean water.) So that I don't get dehydrated.
7. oranges and sugar. So we can eat oranges and drink orange juice.
8. sea food) So you can catch other food and eat that fish or sea creature.
9. Banana chips) Because they can last 12 months and also if you are craving for them then you can eat them.
10. Dried oranges) The same reason as the apples because of the sugar that gets stronger because there is no juice that you can taste but the sugar.
Questions:
What food would you take on trip like this and why
Have you been on a canoe
Please leave a comment and some feedback for my learning guys. Have a nice holiday. Bye.
Hi Allazayha!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mikey. I'm a part of the Summer Learning Journey team and I'll be commenting on some of your wonderful blog posts over the summer break. It's so great to see that you've made a start on the activities - well done! :)
This is an awesome post, Allazayha. I can tell that you've put a lot of thought into it and come up with foods that really would last the distance. Nuts and dried fruits is such a good idea! I hadn't even thought of that. Clean water is a really important one as well - you'd definitely need to stay hydrated if you were out at sea for that long. Who do you think you'd take on your ocean voyage?
Keep up the amazing work, Allazayha. I can't wait to see more posts from you soon!
Bye for now,
Mikey :)
Hi Mikey!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for commenting on this post. If I could bring somebody with me I would invite my family. I would want to invite my family because we have our own boat and my dad knows everything about canoes and other boats. Also I would invite my best friends with me so they wont miss out.
I will keep up my amazing work. Again thank so much for your feedback and your wonderful comment.
Other than that have a nice holiday. Bye Mikey.
Mōrena Allazayha,
DeleteYou are more than welcome - I really enjoyed reading it. :)
Having a dad who knows lots about boats sure would be handy on a trip like this. Do you get to go out on your family boat often? Bringing your best friends along is a lovely idea - I think I'd do the same.
Have a wonderful day, Allazayha.
Blog ya later! :)

Kia Ora Mikey!
ReplyDeleteWe don't often drive our boat in the sea often because my dad needs to fix it because of the windows. The windows are starting to crack so we can hardly go fast in the boat. I think it would be a great Idea to bring my best friends along with me because I hardly see them at school because hardly any of my friends are in the same class as me.
Bye Mikey . And thank you for your questions and your Ideas.
Hi Allazyhe,
DeleteYou are more than welcome. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comments. I really appreciate it. :)
Oh, that's a shame! Does your dad know how to fix that kind of thing?
While I'm here I just wanted to let you know that there's just over a week left of the Summer Learning Journey programme and we'd love to see some more posts from you. There's plenty of time and plenty of tasks left so feel free to jump online before the 24th of January and share a few more.
Happy blogging, Allazayhe. :)
Bye for now,
Mikey
